Crunch Diversity Challenge Now Offering Group Registration

Here we grow again!  You asked, and we’re pleased to provide a group registration rate for the ‘Recreational’ category for this year’s Coquitlam Crunch Diversity Challenge on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Get your friends, school mates, sports team, or work colleagues together and do the Crunch!  We encourage you to wear  your own team shirt with pride to identify your group, or order an event shirt to wear.

Group registration is a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 12 people.

Registration is $50 for 10 members + $5 for any additional members.

The Recreational category formally gets underway at 10 a.m. and is for those wanting to support the event, but go at their own pace up the Crunch trail.  Even though you’ve opted to not complete in the Make It Or Break It 4-hour race, you have the option to still be bibbed, and time-chipped to see how long it takes you to go to the top and back — run your own race with your group to see which of you was the fastest with one loop. Anyone registered in this category can start at any time after 10 a.m. up to  1 p.m. and the circuit up and down the Crunch takes approximately 1 hour.

‘The Spot at the Top’ of the Crunch (a 2.2 km gradual climb) will offer a reprieve with a rest area and refreshments, and the lululemon cheering squad!

Register today and join in on the fun!  There will be a beer garden sponsored by both Yellow Dog and Mariner Brewing waiting for you at the bottom opening at 11 a.m. and open until the event closes at 3 p.m.

Final Days to Pre-order Event T-Shirts with Online Registration

We’re proud to be offering event shirts for the first time! Your purchase helps our cause — the Coquitlam Foundation Diversity Grant and the Dogwood Seniors Society 50+ dragon boat team and their youth mentoring programs.

To get your shirt in time for event-day pickup, orders must be in by Monday, August 27 at midnight.  Shirt sales will be cut off on Tuesday, August 28. We’re looking to get shirts available on event day also. We’ll confirm in our final mailing and on our website and social media channels.

T-shirts are from our event sponsor, Oddball Workshop, a local apparel company from Vancouver who provide shirts for major events like the Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival.

Medals will be awarded in 4 age groups (15 and under; 16- 35 years; 36-64 years; and 65 or over ) in both female and male divisions for the STAIR MASTER challenge, and the MAKE IT OR BREAK IT events.

If racing is not for you, register in our RECREATIONAL category that will formally start at 10 a.m.  This category is perfect for the entire family, or a group of friends or colleagues. You can register as a group with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 people.  There’s also family registration.

Enjoy our beer garden sponsored by Yellow Dog Brewing and Mariner Brewing with a bird’s eye view of the start / finish line and the trail, so spectators are welcomed too! It’s open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
